I rarely ever post and for good reason. It never ceases to amaze me at some of the venomous, honestly, ALABAMA FAN-LIKE posts that are repeatedly perpetrated by people who don't know anything about football much less humanity in general!! Let me start by saying that this year was a catastrophe and obviously we all want to win and want nothing but the best for our beloved Auburn Tigers. But let us not forget...this is a man who has children, a wife, a mother who left Arkansas and followed her son. Their entire lives have revolved around Auburn for 10 years...and a $6 million payday can't replace that!! Whether this is the right call or the wrong one...let's show a little respect and reverance to a man that pulled our program from the brink of utter devastation. In the end...I support the Auburn family and we will live to fight another day; but as far as I'm concerned he, his family and all the assistants and their families are and will always be a part of that legacy. Don't mar who we claim to be as Auburn people by salivating over the decline of a career and a forced change of venue for a lot of people who whether achieved or not...wanted to win as badly as we do!! Now is time for unity...pray for the families...pray for the players...and pray that we can follow suit with a coach that has an ounce of Tuberville's integrity along with the ability to win. I'm ashamed of many members of my so-called family...and you should be ashamed too. Support the new coach...but remember the legacy of our old friend as well. We are not Alabama...we don't buy "wins"...our tradition and our legacy is a proud people who despite adversity and tumult...in the end we stand together and know that is ALWAYS "GREAT TO BE AN AUBURN TIGER." It is a sad day on the Plains...my thoughts and prayers go out to an AUBURN MAN...HIS ASSISTANTS...AND THEIR FAMILIES. Again...I'm not a Tommy Tuberville homer and I have been discouraged and angry this year just like the rest of you. However..now is time to sheath the swords...and bite your tongues. If you can't handle that...go join the rest of the Mullett Nation throng who now speak of Mike Shula like he was the antichrist...even though he not only coached but played his heart out on their store-bought field.Remember it's easy to love a winner just ask SABAN!! Auburn fans and family unite...the rest of you heartless, selfish, morons should find another family...you don't belong in mine!! WAR EAGLE AND THANK YOU TOMMY FOR WHAT YOU GAVE THIS SCHOOL FOR 10 YEARS!!
