The biggest coaches in the game are tied to the biggest programs with the best tradition, regional placement, and recruiting aptitude.

I'm not saying that what they did was easy, but it is a matter of fact that opportunity for great success will always exist at these schools.

Every other perennial top 25 program out there for the most part is on par with Auburn and every other coach out there for the most part is on par with Tuberville. By that I mean consistently solid programs with one or two real shots at a title every decade.

Auburn is not USC, Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas, or Florida. And I have a very difficult time believing there is a coach out there that would bump Auburn into the Elite schools listed above. Especially with every school giving out 85 schollys and on TV all the time.

This is not complacency nor a losing attitude, it's not being delusional. Delusional is thinking that the OC from Oklahoma or Missouri is coming to work under Tuberville.

Lastly, keep in mind...there is a great difference in taking a team from obscurity and making them competitive than taking a competitive team and making them elite. Especially if the school is not traditionally elite on a national scale.

That being said, if Tuberville does leave (and it would be him leaving, not being fired...and I sincerely doubt he will), I would like to see someone from NFL pedigree (HUGE recruiting bump).
