Does anyone else but me think that realfootball365 site kind of sucks? The stories seem pretty poorly written and never really say much worthwhile.

Lets use both of them in every game. Why not? They both bring things to the table. I keep saying it will take 2 QB's anyway with the amount of plays per game now in the no huddle and when a QB runs this much he will get banged up.

Could someone who is closer to the action than me please do us a favor and sum up each of our QB's advantages/disadvantages? I am starting to get nervous about not having a clear leader in QB. What are the pros and cons to Todd, Burns, and Caudle? Also, is Furr going to be in the mix at all? |

I do agree with you, when somebody has a link to it I don't even look at it.

I don't think Caudle... | |||||||||

is even in the mix at this point. I think he has as much chance as Trotter who reportedly has looked real good in summer workouts. Furr should redshirt or play
D for the year. He needs to know the playbook better.
Todd recently let it be known that his shoulder feels better than it has in a long time which might make things interesting. I think the telling thing is that Burns looked really good by the end of Spring, good enough to outshine Todd when you look at the total package. He'll likely take a small step back in the start of two-a-days since we haven't had that kind of practice in awhile, but I think if he can get back to that form quickly, we should build the offense around him bringing Todd in for relief rather than the other way around. Our schedule sets up pretty good for that. La Monroe & S. Miss should be taken seriously, but we have enough talent on the line & in our running game to win both the first games. Then we have Miss St which will probably be a tougher game than the previous two, but I don't see enough to suggest that they will play any better than last year (which was pretty good, but low scoring). State also lost some crucail players on the lines. I think these three games set up well for a new QB & receiving corp to get acclimated & if Burns builds off of Clemson & the spring how I think he will, we'll have him at 1A & Todd as 1b. I do think, regardless, we will have a new QB with little big game experience so this season may be more of a 8 or 9 win due to growing pains. LSU, TN, GA, Ole Miss & W. VA are all possible losses considering new QB and new defensive coordinator (yes, Ole Miss). The positive for our offense this year is that our starting running back will be in at the get go & Tate has truly had a full year under him. Lester & Tate should have a pretty good year & help a lot with the QBs developing. |

I agree. It does throw out some BS from time to time.

just imagine how tough it will be for a defense to have to prepare for both Kodi and Todd. Talking about headaches for a defensive coordinator, wow.

You are going to be pleasantly surprised by this year's Auburn Tigers. I think KB did show a lot of improvement. But in two-a-days a healthy Chris Todd
will light'em up.

If Todd... | |||||||||

does improve & outshines his Dual Threatedness then you're correct, I will happily enjoy my mouthfuls of crow while hollering War Eagle!
Additionally, I don't want to give the perception I think Todd stinks. I'm sure Franklin wants him for a reason & I won't pretend to be better suited to pick our QB the CTF. This is a great position to be in, chosing btw so much talent. In some ways Cox' struggles last year leave me feeling better about our QB situation this year as we've seen at least one of the future options play some meaningful snaps in high stress conditions. I can't wait for 2-a-day reports!

I disagree with you guys..................Im going out on a limb here and im going to say Todd will take the starting job. Kodi will play 1 of every 4 downs.
Im a HUGE Burns fan and hope im wrong. When Tony F came to Auburn, he brought Todd with him. He has had his back this spring and see's something in this
guy. I think Tony knows the qb pos. more than most. Omar Haugabook Troy's Qb threw for 3000 yards last year and 2500 yards the year before. We need a stong
arm Qb.I think Todd is the man for the passing yards. Kodi will be the fan favorite option Qb.
Dont blast me cause I LOVE KODI!!!!!!!! But Todd is a tiger and we all outta be behind him! |

Everyone dont expect to see much of the new offense for the first several games. I know CTT and he likes to keep things a secret until he has to open up the
can on somebody. Im ok with that though. He said several times publicly after the spring game that they did not show anything because the game is shown all
over the nation. He doesnt want anyone getting any extra study time on film. I think its a good idea though to be like that IMO. So my point with all of
this is we should not see a whole lot of weapons or dazzle until we get into the meat of the schedule.

I'm straddling the fence on this one, Kodi's my man, but I see Todd passing!!!!!!

get significant playing time. And it won't be a lopsided thing like last years with Kodi only getting a few snaps here and there (outside the MSU, NMSU
and chicken bowl). Who is the starter? Will be irrelevant. Flip a coin when it comes to who actually gets the first snap of the game. It won't even be
symbolic. It will take good play and we will get good play from both to take us to Big BCS dance.

I agree that there will be a dual QB system this year. At A Day this year, both had strengths and weakness in certain areas. Together they complament each
other's talent.
