I agree, it is a violation, but only applys to future eligibility, we all know that is of no concern now. Kid was a total #$%$!#*, almost like a deathwish.
The really wierd thing to me is, he was not going to be a key figure in the 08 season. He couldn't fit on offense, he was not smart enough to pick up on
the defensive schemes. It is just bizarre, so yall have fun with it.

fun? | ||

I do not see any fun in this. Yes, I have made a couple of wisecracks just like the ones I received during the times when we have been on probation. This
really isn't something to have "fun" with. What is fun about:
1. A young man engaging in illegal drug traficing 2. Any number of lives being destroyed by this s_ _ _ t 3. Wasted human potential Believe it or not, I do not wish probation on anyone. We have been there and done that. I'd much rather beat someone at full strength. For the sake of the conference it just isn't any good when probation happens to anyone. We already have a bad reputation for cheating. So I, for one, do not wish probation on anyone, even alabama. I'm sure there is no NCAA trouble down the road over this situation. How much was known by the powers that be may never be known. To me that is not a big issue. When this came to light Johns was sent packing. |

I agree it is not fun to see an individual screw up his life.
I think why this comes up so much on the board is because most of us are so tired of hearing what a savior Saban is that any negative press for the bammers is enjoyed by the Auburn fans. I think it is funny to see the 10th arrest from the team in a year not because the fates of those indiduals but because of general disaray within the program. |

Thats what happens with a whatever it takes method... | ||

Saban knew or heard rumors about JJ. If he was slinging at the football complex somebody (proably another player) that doesn't do the drug would have told
somebody who would have told somebody else untill it got to Saban. Thats lack of control by Saban, period. No way to spin it. He has his head so far up the
next recruits butt that he doesnt even know what is going on in the parking lot of his football complex. I dont care if Shula recruited JJ or not. Saban was in
controll when this happened. He is not a good manager obviously by the 10 arrest in his 18 months as coach. Hey saban do what Croom did. He kicked them off
before they messed up really bad. No 2nd or 3rd chances. I am glad bammer has Saban they are made for each other. Hey maybe they will get that next 5 star DB
while their current DB gets an addiction to herion. I mean how could Saban know?

But didn't he do all of that while he was still on the team?

$aban had to know | ||

Like I've said before, $aban knew about it but he wasn't about to kickoff one of his top players. |

If Saban or any other bama coach knew about, then there is cause for the ncaa to take a look! To sell drugs close to school zones, not mention college campuses
makes this a Felony.
