The need for speed! Zero to Oshit in about 5 seconds...� 
Turbo Hyabusa-499 hp.....tops out at 240mph....once he twists the throttle at around 50, the front wheel doesn't touch the pavement again till 140mph. Shifts 3 gears on the back wheel. They will jump a back wheel at 180 or so...... Looks like the needle just falls down the right hand side of the speedo....ungodly acceleration...

On a closed track is one thing but these nuts are insane.... Can you say GreasySpotntheroad? One BMF�crotch rocket�though...

YOu are right these guys are crazy. I had some come by me on the Interstate 65 at Dolly Parton (I'm sure you know where that is) and just toast me and I
was running about 75. they were on some kind of blue bikes but they were not big road hogs like Harleys but more like a crotch rocket but I did not get to look
at them.

Although this dood has�unbelievable quickness and balance....just a ton�of talent on two wheels. He could easily be an organ donor by now. Used to get called to the ER quite frequently at UAB for motorcycle accidents. Head trauma is obviously common. One of the neurosurgery residents, who�seemed�to be on call�every time�one would�come in, always�called them donorcycles....I was riding at the time. It might have been a causative factor why I don't ride now.�Death doesn't scare me but the thought of��massive injury....flesh rending, organ crushing, bone splintering trauma is too much for me to contemplate.....or it could be, I just got old turned into a puss...��

Cool video but it's contaminated with spyware.
The standard Hyabusa has a top end of 186MPH but that's because it has an electronic speed limiter on the electronic ignition. |

Seriously, I got nothing...so I'm either infected or protected. Oh yeah, these 499hp turbo beasts are obviously not stock GSX 1300Rs.....while still an awesome bike they have less than 200hp, a timing retard and a rev limiter. I know you guys don't like "rice burners" but I was young when I was riding. Speed, acceleration and handling were paramount. Harleys were way over my head price wise and I wanted something that would jump when I twisted my wrist...I wanted the that in-line 4. Before Patch kills me let me say I would make a different choice today. Before I finally moved, for over a year I smoked I-20 every am and pm.....commuting to work from Anniston to B'ham. Lay down tight on that gastank, open her up and home in 30 minutes.....lucky to be alive...

Nowhere really...outside Evergreen....not too far from Atmore, Brewton, etc....and the beach is bout 75 miles...
Makin good $, livin cheap, maxin out that 401K yearly, packin the Roth and outta here soon.. I live in Hokes Bluff, but work in Anniston a great deal of the time. My oldest lives in Montgomery, and is moving to Auburn next month. I hope after all the
kids have grown, we'll move to the Plains as well.

Well well, 2 fellow Annistonians. Myself born and raised there...now reside in Troy for a few more months until graduation.
Not gonna be moving back to Anniston, though. Not a good market for my degree. |
