the other day on espn they showed a news conference with jo paterno....in it he basically took a cheap shot at both uga and auburn when he mentions us two
along with penn state and boston college....he state " school like auburn uga and boston college get the attetion for their recent success when theyve won
75% of their games the last few years which penn state has done the same but only too that i mentioned us ( psu) and boston college have a 75% graduation
rate" if im not mistaken both us and uga do pretty damn well at keepin our players for the full extent of their college careers

Joe Pa is cut from the same moth eaten cloth as senator Holtz is..

Isn't one thing CTT is known for is graduation rate? And Mark Richt I think really stresses academics. Joe Pa was out of line with those comments. I
think Joe Pa is a class act for the most part, but he shouldn't had said something like that, it just makes him seem like a bitter old man.

I never have understood why people think Jo Pa is s class act... | ||
|
Is it because his players are out of control? Is it the profanity infused tirade that he had with a reporter a few years ago? Is it because he crapped his
pants at a game last year? He has never showed me anything but a bitter old man that has hung around too long just to try and have more wins than Bobby
Bowden.

Please retire, Joe. You're senile.

Joe Pa really bothers me...I mean I just cant see why he remains coaching now. He has been nothing more than a figure head for at least the last 6 or 7 years,
really more. You see him on the sidelines and you can tell he is not really governing the team. The assistants are doing everything. Like when he broke his
leg, 2 years ago and had to be up in the booth. He wasn't missed and he said he thought about staying up there after his leg healed. Of course you can
stay up there, you dont do anything.
I agree with the earlier post that he is just hanging around to get more wins. I honestly believe that Bobby Bowden and Joe Pa are both just sticking around to see which will retire first and then the other will stay for another season to clinch the wins record. But I really think that Joe Pa might one day just die during on the games on the sidelines. I dont think Joe Pa could take another hit like he did when his leg was broke. MOST IMPORTANTLY...Joe Pa is still mad about that Capital One bowl where Auburn came in and ran all over the nittany lions. Auburn's incredible run defense shut down Larry Johnson better than any team had done that whole year...Also Ronnie Brown ran all over that Penn State defense...OLD MAN Joe Pa is still holding a grudge The only good thing about Joe Pa and Bobby Bowden...They have beat the BAHR's win record |

Joe Pa I have a lot of respect for...i mean, he's not gonna live much longer and he is still coaching...he should have retired 20 years ago. His comments
were just incorrect, and he is entitled to say what he wants. Everyone knows he's just a crazy old man (which I would be too if I were a football coach
that old).

Joe Paw is still living back in his day of glory and altimers must be interfering in his reality checks. He was a great coach in his day (and time), but has become more of a mascot. All big Ten programs are still living back in the day, like Bama!!! LOL... |
