I'll look around and see what all is out there. Thanks for asking us. I've always wanted to help in recruiting but I never knew how to go about it.

I don't know if it was talked about in other threads, but does anyone know anything about Eric Smith's brother, I heard he will be one of the best
Florida standouts.

His film reminds me of Tray Blackmon. He attacks the ball carrier and the backfield. He is a punishing & crushing hitter. Monster.
Auburn has a very good shot with him, but FSU and UF will also be there. Getting Eric helps us a lot with Petey. link |

Sounds great, hopefully we can land a couple of those guys, if not all of them. 165 tackles as a sophomore.

Marlon Brown | ||||||

Just watched a video of him, 6-5 receiver but has some real good speed, and it looks like they ran some Spread at his high-school, really hope we can land him.

Linebacker | ||||||

I think there will be opportunities for kids to step in at linebacker next year for Auburn. Seniors at the position departing, plus if Tray Blackmon has an
injury/suspension free year he may go NFL draft as a Junior. Not just Eric's brother Petey but two linebackers from Carver in Colombus, one of them named
LeRon Fur. Deron's brother.

Here's a Good Looking Linebacker Considering Auburn with 4.5 speed

Daniel Drummond | ||||||

Wow! He sounds good. 230 lbs. 4.5 40. Speedy. Good comments about Auburn and with dad being a grad that always helps.

LB | ||||||
|
Linebacker recruiting will be very interesting this year because it is a need position and the South is ridiculously deep this year at LB. We will take 3-4
LBs (probably 4) and are already in it for several big name LBs. Look out for Corico Hawkins who claims to be an Auburn fan and Nigel Mitchell-Thornton, both
from Georgia. The HS linebacker class in the south is so strong that there is a decent chance that Eltoro Freeman doesn't even get an offer to return.

What about this kid from Oklahoma David Oku, the kid is a stud 4.49 speed. check out his video on youtube, just search his name and there is also a video of
him at one of Auburns camps in the summer. we were his number one, until we changed to the spread offense but Coach Gran and he are very close. so we have a
shot but FSU is in the mix as well (grew up an FSU fan) and Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are out of the mix seeing that he wants to leave the state!

I cannot wait to see the offense to see what type of back we will start recruiting.

Type of RB | ||||||
|
Hopefully, we recruit the type of back, who breaks lots of tackles, jukes players with smooth moves, runs downhill, is really fast, gains lots of yards per
carry, can catch the ball out of the backfield, doesn't fumble, has great vision, can passblock when required, learns the playbook well, does well
academically, stays out of trouble, is a team leader and likes to score lots of touchdowns.

Linebacker | ||||||

I like that Corico kid, but not so sure about the one from Stone Mountain. Is that 40 yard time listed by rivals of 4.9 correct? If so that is a bit slow for
an Auburn linebacker.
I like that Jarvis kid from Carver to go along with Leron Fur and maybe Eric's brother Petey Smith. |

Nigel Mitchell -Thornton
myxtplkn wrote: I talk to a coach from Stone Mountain every once in a while and he's been telling me about Mitchell-Thornton for a while now, since his sophomore year. Said coach is an Auburn guy and has been promoting Auburn to Mitchell-Thornton for a while now. I asked him about the measurements posted on Rivals and he told me that Nigel is now up to 230lbs and his fastest forty time was a 4.6. I believe the 210lb 4.9 forty came from a Nike/SPARQ camp which was a full year year ago. Nigel already has a few offers and from what I've heard from the coach Florida is apparently planning on offering him. He's a definite D1 prospect who could easily earn an offer. The three biggest LBs on the board right now are easily Jarvis Jones, Petey Smith, and Tana Patrick. Petey Smith is a stud and we actually have a pretty decent shot at landing him. |

Thanks for the update on that. 4.6 sounds closer to AU linebacker speed than 4.9. Good to hear it. It would be good to get a kid out of Stone Mountain. I
grew up in that area, back in the 70's. It's definitely Bulldog UGA type country.

Who is the Corico kid? How big is he, where's he from and are we on each others list?

involved in a drug arrest, disordrly conduct, or witness a gangland style shooting/homicide. once established, he needs to have a great opening game
performance against a highly touted team with a combination of Central, Western, Coastal followed by a bi directional designation in it's name. From
there, we need a nationally publicated shell of a former great magazine declare us BACK V 5.0. The following 3 years and 10 games, he needs to immediately
fall either on or just prior to initial contact (see Kenneth Darby).
