How do you not have your field goal team ready on the sidelines just in case by some MIRACLE the ball gets caught??? HOW?? Dumb as a Rock.

This is a prime example of you can have all the talent and athletes that you want but you better have a guy that can coach.

You could tell in his postgame interview that he had no clue what just happened. The quarterback was the bigger idiot for spiking it and then walking over to Miles to huddle and get the play. The idiot thought it was a timeout when he spiked the ball when actually it was the end of the game. Kinda reminds me of the AU/LSU game when Miles had 16 secs on the clock and he chunks it to the endzone. Although it worked and they beat us, he admitted he never realized he had 16 secs left. Like this heading says, the guy is an idiot!!!!!!! |

If he had called his timeout on 3rd down with 20 seconds left vs. waiting until 9 seconds were left, they could have spiked the ball after the long pass
completion and had plenty of time for a field goal. Just proves you live by stupidity (TD against us with 8 seconds on clock), you die by stupidity (spike
with 1 second vs. Ole Miss). And yes, he is an idiot.

The Devil must have given Miles his soul back before the game.

Why the hell were they passing when they were already in fieldgoal range? That big sack with 55 seconds left killed thier chances...
The hat has won some games like that. ITs good to see him get his butt kicked by one.. He beat us two years ago like that.. Could not have happened to a nicer guy |

At the 55 second mark, I think it would have been a 52 yard FG.

To his credit, Miles has sworn to find out whose in charge on the LSU sideline
Ok, yea, I mean... I just ate, um... so I'm still digesting... so my kung fu may not be as good as... later on.

he he was right to not kick it with 52 seconds left he would have caught hell, especially if he ties it up and ky gets a good return and a kick of their own,
but thats all i can back him on .
its one thing to have a sucky special teams coach but its another thing to not be able to set up for a kick in a situation like that |

BuckeyeTiger wrote: I agree with Buckeye. The chance of hitting a 52 yard field goal is pretty low, so the play call was right. It was the clock management that made no sense at all. Why they didn't call a timeout when the had 30+ seconds is beyond me. That's the time to call it and set up the next 2 plays. Not only do you add 8+ seconds to get another play off but you have everyone on the same page to set up for a field goal. just go for the 1st down with a pass. If you make the 1st down, the clock stops to move the ball and you can put your FG team on the field. If you don't make the 1st down, the clock stops on the incomplete pass and you can put your FG team on the field. The LSU coaching staff had no plan except to get 1 play off.

Les Miles has been lucky to win a lot of games over the past few years. To me, LSU has surpassed Bama as being the luckiest team in the SEC. Glad to see
Miles' and LSU's luck finally run out for once.

I'd say he has 2 or 3 more years left at LSU.

Fun game to watch! I have grown into a huge McCluster fan. He's a gamer. Les Miles blew that game! They had it! On side kick worked. And he still blew it.
LSU fans must have had a sleepless night tossing and turning over that one. Terrible loss for them and hats off to Ole Miss for hanging in there.

Finally a topic that Auburn fans and Alabama fans can agree on. The guy just doesn't have a clue and reminds me of that "deer in the headlights"
look that Shula used to get when he was in over his head. لفة تايد

IM4(LSU)Tigers that is. Yeah I'll admit it. The Miles debacle yesterday against Ole Miss is completely indefensible. Yall have made some good points
about "living on the edge and dying on the edge". It has caught up to us, and Miles cannot be defended. I wish for a quick end rather than a slow
painful death now.
P.S. --- Go beat the hell out of Bama! I'm kind of hoping Florida St. beats Florida and Texas loses. I think I want to see a TCU/Cinncinnati NC Game. I'm really bitter right now.

Poor coaching has finally caught up to Miles. I hate it for the kids, but IMO this has been a long time coming. Against us (what two years ago), he made the
call to go for the TD, instead of a Fg, and it almost bit him in the ass then.
Wow, that is all I have to say. "Believe me on this. Please. I have descended into college football's Grand Canyon. I have stood in its Alps. I have gazed at
its ocean sunset. I have attended a game at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala. And I've been changed forever".
