My daughter graduates from HS next week....
My son gets his Drivers License in 2 weeks... On the 29th I am heading to the beach for a week or so....... Life is Good....

+++++++++++++++++++ I dont know if this qualifies under the life is good part or not. I was a terror on vehicles until I was 25 years old. |

Saw the North Mississippi All-Stars last night. Got my tickets for Drive-by Truckers tonight. Tomorrow is movie and pizza night maybe followed by live band.
Saturday night will be spent listening to the musical stylings of Dash Rip Rock.

I know how happy you nust be for your "little girl", and all daughters stay daddy's little girls forever. As for your son, will he be inheriting
a jeep?
I am getting myself prepared for my oldest daughter's wedding Saturday, so things are hoppin' around here for sure. |

My son gets his Drivers License in 2 weeks...How do you know he's ready to drive by himself? Setting a date for a driver's license is not necessarily a good choice. They need to very comfortable and experienced first. I have seen a lot of people make this mistake with their 16 year olds who weren't ready to drive and they busted up a lot of cars and killed some people. 4 of my daughter's high school friends died is a crash. The driver was 16 driving his mother's Mercedes and los control in the rain. |

Life is good, my friends.
I'm off all weekend as usual, so I'm going to experiment with some Lake Martin Lemonade, scoobage and ribs Friday afternoon, followed by an evening fireside. Saturday at 2, I'll Go watch the Tigers take on LSPooh, muching hot dogs and swilling Crown and whatever they have at the concession stand. Saturday night another evening of fireside fun. I need to do some yardwork Sunday. I didn't say I'd do it, I just said I need to. It'll prob be more like lounging on the sofa and watching golf or something. Some days it is good to be... well, me.

i didn't get my license for months after I turned.... My daughter didn't get hers till she was ~17... we just weren't ready...
Jr., on the other hand, seems to be ready. For all the right reasons. We will all be nervous at first, and there are lots of rules, i.e. No radio for the first 6 months, no cell talking/texting ever while the car is running, no passengers for the first year, no night driving........ I also require a phone call when they arrive at their destination and when they are leaving..... i know, i know.. i am such a hard a$$......

My daughter graduated from college on May 3rd... got a teacher job last Friday... gets married a week from Sunday... ---- pretty big month for her!

Hey PT, I'm actually pretty good friends with the Drive-By truckers lead man, Patterson. He's giving me and my girlfriend free tickets to Rothbury (a
festival in Michigan). My girlfriend baby sits his daughter every week.
Anyways, I've definitely got plenty of new things in my life. I just got back from an interview in California. Here's a couple shots of the area:
