The Band was Ronnie Hawkins' band prior to Dylan. Further, they were only Dylan's band briefly (see music from Big Pink). Methinks The Band split from
Dylan around 1968, but I wouldn't bet the ranch on that particular year.
And I will not hold my breath awaiting your "I Stand Corrected" post. After all, there is absolutely no need for you to ever be "straight up & honest," as I strive to be. I still didn't get an AMEN. Care to give us one now, PT?
