I dont think you will see the tide disappear from the rankings, but years like last year where it appears we got totally dominated are 1) aberrations that happen occassionally 2) probably not accurate when viewed 4 years later and a product of the media more than an indicator of the state of the program or whether a particular class met the needs present at the particular university. I think this year AU is getting more early signees and that will be a trend that continues. We will get ours and they will get theirs and the difference will be made by what happens to them after you get them and how good a job the coaches do evaluating what they need and what they are trying to get. Having early signees may help in recruiting but all I have to do is mention Fortson and you can see that this does not always work.
