espn article | ||

That article is so incomplete it's downright silly. I feel bad for Trahan because he is too proud to ask for help when needed. CTT and his staff do more
than teach X's and O's to these kids. If he didn't ask for help, then it rests on his shoulders, not Auburn University's. Big time college
football is not for everyone. Learning disabilities are a serious subject and as unfortunate as they are, not everyone has the ability to go to a major
college. This situation might just happen again at Ole Miss. Good luck to Patrick. As far as ESPN goes, they are a collective joke to college sports. At least
they provide some comic relief during the football season.

Dude, that's just wrong | ||

Thats only one side of the story. Remember the part where he said he had to keep telling his mom and brother to not lose there cool in the meeting. I am sure
there is more to the story than they His Mom and ESPN are given you.

"Student-privacy laws prevent Auburn officials from commenting about Trahan's situation. But Baranco says she never got any answers from the
school's academic support staff. "I was just trying to find out what was going on," she says. "I thought they were supposed to keep up with
his grades"
Unless im mistaken,, it is against the rules for the University to contact the parents unless given permission by the student.. I know someone who runs track at another school and I think thats the case. |

I believe you are correct. He is an adult at age 18.. it's not high school anymore.

you're right Van | ||

Yes Van, they're called FERPA laws...The student does have to give permission.
IEPs do not transfer to the college school. College is a choice and schools are obligated to assist students with ADA problems, BUT the student must request them. Coach, good job on TOW...I am pretty sure he didnt read the article. If so, he would have seen that Patrick was standing up for Auburn and himself. His mother was the one going off. |

I'm sick and tired of everyone blaming AU for everything that goes wrong. Isn't there enough blame to go around to other people? |

As for espn | ||

They can stuff it. |
