Yeah, I would definitely keep a watch on ebay...To tell you the truth, nowadays its harder than you think move stolen stuff through pawn shops. Because of the
police crackdown, everyone is required to have ID and the pawn shop must keep clear records showing who pawned what. But of course that is not the case on
ebay or selling it person to person.

You may want to check craigslist.com as well for montg., mobile, b'ham & atl areas. Thieves aren't exactly the brightest bulbs in the box, and many
times they try to sell stuff right in the open.
By the way, based on your story it almost sounds like someone quite familiar with your trailer or the area who pulled this off. Who else would know you keep a trailer full of dj equip. inside a tool shed. Someone had to know it was worth the effort to access that trailer from above considering you had it blocked with the tractor. Just the time involved in loading all the maintenance equipment & then to take the time to cut the trailer open & slowly move equipment out of the roof tells me they knew they had plenty of time to risk pulling this off. Sounds like they knew what was in the building & any security schedules. This wasn't just someone out for a stroll in the woods. |
