NFL Draft |
Lead | |
|
Just a week away. I think we will have 3 players from Auburn go in the 1st 2 rounds; Groves, Sims and Lee. Yes, Patrick Lee will go no later than the
Packers 2nd round pick.

Dunlap won't be drafted...I think Lee to fall into the 3rd round. I hope he goes 2nd, but look at our secondary last season...Groves heart thing and
injuries during his senior season might make him drop into the 2nd round, but I think someone will take a chance in the 1st. Look for Sims in mid to late 2nd
round.
My boys (the Falcons haha) will get J. Long or Dorsey depending on who's drafted 1st overall...Brohm in 2nd round, and hopefully Groves in the 2nd round if he slips...probably won't take him though cause they got that sorry DE from Arkansas last year. |

Would anyone care to make a guess to which round will Brandon Cox will be picked in?

Brandon Cox will be drafted in the "undrafted free agent" round, and then probably cut in training camp by the team he is on, and then if he wants to
keep playing football...end up in NFL Europe (im not sure it even exists anymore though?). I like Brandon Cox, but that is honestly his football future.

Didn't even work out for scouts on Pro Day.
Dunlap probably day two. Yes, will most likely be drafted, but definitely not second round. I'd guess round 5, 6 or 7. That really says a lot about the rest of the guys on our O line. Look for Bosley to go 1st day next year and Green first round. I'll say again, if Pat Lee is still available when Green Bay picks in the 2nd round, they will take him. There will be no Pat Lee in the 3rd or later rounds. |

According to this ranking it places Quentin Groves and Patrick Lee in the 2nd round and Pat Sims in the 3rd round but its all speculative and we never know how
a team will pick until draft day.

BC is no longer pursuing football IIRC.
I don't know if he's planning to be a coach down the road, but as a player, he's done. |

11 agreed, that's what I was saying about him not working out for the NFL scouts on Auburn's pro day and also not working out at any combines.
Brandon is not pursuing an NFL career that I know of. Usually, if you won't work out for the scouts, unless you are way up in that top tier of talent,
they are not going to draft you.
While its true that draft order/round is somewhat speculation, as far as P Lee is concerned, Green Bay is very high on this guy, and if he is available for their 2nd round pick, they will take him. Now, that being said it is always possible that strange things do happen on draft day, trades, other players of significant value drop unexpectedly and remain on the board, etc. But I would say 95% chance P Lee is not still around in round 3. |

The #1 draft pick is Jake Long OT from Michigan.
