Sure we get some early committs, but face it, these kids are like a year and a half away from going to college, at this point, a lot of players will merely
list interest in a school like Auburn, just cause they know a few NFL backs came from Auburn (actually quite a few) and they know we have a good football
program that is continually in the Top 20.
So just because they list us, especially those outside the southeast region, doesn't mean they have genuine informed interest, but probably means we are just not ruled out. Not that that is always the case. Sometimes, they may have relatives that live in the area, or their parents went to Auburn and then moved(like Ziemba). |

In addition to the highly interested Petey Smith, Armwood High in Florida has a couple blue-chippers I'm very interested to know about:
Ryne Giddens- DE 6-4,230 (Offer list includes Florida, FSU, LSU, Miami, etc.) Angelo Hadley- S 6-1,190 (Runs in the low 4.5s) Now Rivals says very little about either guy, but Scout says both are interested in Auburn (Giddens has an offer). Could they be part of a package deal in addition to Petey Smith? |

Giddins has an offer from us, but even though he hasn't name a favorite, his fave team as a child was FSU. Hadley has us nowhere on his list.
