Tim broke his arm about midway of spring practice. It's a shame because he was doing very well. He should be fine by fall.
Everybody needs to believe in something.
I believe I'll have another beer. |

I dont get why he was put in the slot receiver position that Tommy Trott, a tightend, also occupies. I always thought of Tim as a burner or someone we would
line up wider. We was one, if not the, most sought after recruit in Bama when we signed him. Anyone who knows more about that position or the philosophy behind
this, please shed some light on this for me.

I hope he's better now and I sure hope he'll be all healed up come Sept.

I believe the slot receiver is easier to get the ball too.

Pretty tough defending a 6'3", 210 lb. WR. Big for a DB to cover, fast for a LB to cover, and he's physical.
He definitely needs to improve his hands though. Trying to catch the ball with bricks attached to your wrists = no dice. |

I don't recall Hawthorne ever being considered a burner. He came into AU with barely 4.5 speed. Like 11 says, he is big for a DB to cover and fast for a LB to cover, which makes him more suited for the slot position. IMO I think he will turn out to be an Anthony Mix type receiver. |
