Has to be a calling, like being a Pastor. It can't be the money. Teaching disabled children takes a special gift, it requires so much patience, and the
laws and regulations are unbelievable. I applaud all who teach.

SOunds like some of these little Charlie Mansons need to be locked up now. I am sure the court will be lenient considering the circumstances and a couple of
years from now when they reallly do this to somebody will be shocked and act apalled that these children were not rehabilitated while they were in the juvenile
center. the children who went along but did not instigate it need punishment as well but not nearly as severe. they are not to young to learn that condoning
something may not be as bad as doing it but it is not far from it either.

I won't make light of this, you really have a tough but rewarding job. These days you just never know what to expect, be it the note from a former pupil
thanking you for what you've done, to the threat of a disturbed child harming other children, and now apparently teachers as well. Just stay safe my

Kids are mainstreamed into the general classroom setting but are given support to succeed. Most of these classrooms are collaborative classrooms with two
teachers. They are given other supports as well and it's a good placement for kids with mild disabilities. Unfortunately, No Child Left Behind is trying to
push most kids wityh disabilties into this placement option when some really do need to be pulled into a smaller group setting.

don't feel endangered though, and the rewards of teaching always outway the negatives in my book. I actually think it's te easiest job in the world.
Why: 190 days of work a year. And most of those 190 days of work seem like fun. I guess it's the attitude you bring to any profession.
