"Gov. Riley announces search for next AU Trustee Alabama Governor Bob Riley on Tuesday announced the search for the soon-to-be opened at-large seat on the AU Board of Trustees. The position is currently held by Earlon McWhorter. Interested individuals should submit nominations and relevant information by Friday, May 2, 2008. She is a very successful business woman based in California/Arizona. She would bring diversity to the board as well as business acumen & has NO ties to Lowder or Alabama Business/political machine. I highly doubt travel would be difficult for her & she would have influence/insight professionally, philanthropically & politically that would absolutely benefit the University. This is a highly intelligent and successful woman that would bring a LOT to the board should she serve. Please take a minute to look at her full bio (see link). Incidently, she is a partial owner of the Pheonix Mercury (pro-Women's Bball). Brief Bio: Principal of BridgeWest, LLC (investment company) since July 2003. Ms. Munro was Chairman of BridgeWest, LLC from February 1999 until July 2003. From 1996 to 1998, Ms. Munro served as CEO of Bank of America's Southwest Banking Group and was President of Bank of America Arizona from 1994 to 1996.
