Quarterbacks
In my opinion, Chris Todd will end up being the starter, or he and Kodi will split time. QB's didnt look good at all this morning. Burns got fired after about the 3rd rep of the day. Todd was making some good throws early in practice, but as they got into some of the later periods, he didn't have any zip on the ball. Overall, Todd looked the best, got the most reps, and got yelled at the least. Advantage being he has known the offense since middle school.
RB's
Not much to say here. 85% of practice was throwing and I didnt get to see inside because I was watching skelly. Looked like Lester got more reps in team though. Tate ran quite a bit too. They both have great hands. Dont think any backs dropped a ball all practice.
WR's
H/Y's looked much better than X/Z's. Trott is going to have a big year in this offense. Gabe McKenzie didn't have a good practice today. Too many dropped balls all around. Carr was probably the best looking young receiver on the outside. Like Todd, he played in this offense in high school. The old heads looked very average.
OL
Only really got to see them during indy. A few breakdowns in protection and a few coverage sacks. Probably 5 sacks all together.
Offense Overall
I hope it was bad because it was the first day back from spring break. Not very good today. Too many dropped balls, even on screens. Player of the Day was Trott and/or Todd.
Defensively, the best corners we have is Powers. Made some unbelievable plays today. Had a couple picks too. Rhoades was fired up all practice. We have a flippin stud at LBer though. I think he is #10? Seriously, Blackmon is a beast. Franklin was pissed all of practice for all kinds of reasons. Mainly, it was the quarterbacks.
Left Auburn and drove down to Troy to watch them too. Only a handful of dropped passes and looked as if they got a lot more work done. But, theyve been doing it for 3 years. The Alabama report is coming next weekend after I get home from the clinic.
