You would think with everything that has happened with the Bama football team lately that Nicky would have changed some things on how his players represent the University, guess again! Not only has Nicky not changed a thing he goes above and beyond the call to set a terrible example! Saturday night at the Jupiter (a bar on the strip in T-Town) Kenny Chesney performed his Keg in the Closet tour concert and not only was Nicky there with other coaches and players he got up on stage and presented Kenny with a football helmet (which I believe is against the athletic dept. rules). The funny thing is it was #14 so I guess JP Wilson isn't going to need it next year. lol But Nicky wasn't alone he brought some of his best and brightest players with him two of which were JP Wilson and Rashad Johnson. There were a few other players that I didn't recognize. There were also other coaches there (didn't recognize any faces myself as they are changing so often these days). I guess Nicky is starting his own traditions at Bama one of which is going out to bars with the whole team. Is this his way of watching them to make sure they stay out of trouble? All I can say is WOW Nicky you have out done yourself this time! Way to lead by example Coach Saban, nice move!

Better than what? I am just reporting facts that I saw with my own eyes! If Nicky didn't talk out of both sides of his mouth it wouldn't be so easy to
fault him. Guess you don't remember this is the same place that Simeon Castille was arrested last fall. Don't you remember the comment Saban made about
nothing good happens after 12 midnight? Guess he doesn't take his own advice! lol Here is some interesting reading for you Tider.

The story is a little weird. Chesney is a huge UT fan, why would he want a Bama helmet?
Bama: 4-20 against UT, LSU, & AU this decade.

I have no idea ask Nick he is the one that handed it over. Maybe his toilet went out on the tour bus. lol I am sure it was done to play up to the home crowd. |

I don't think anyone on the board really cares BTC, but zilla makes an interesting point. If Saban is going to get the program under control at bammer,
taking players to a bar on the strip in T-Town is not exactly the way I would think a coach would go about it. I'm sure this is not the image bammer is
wanting to portray right now in their football program. Good info zilla!

I wouldn't be too judgmental on this one. I, for one, would never go to a bar. However, my question is did he go to the bar or did he go to hear Kenny
Chesney? This is a far cry from acting drunk and disorderly.

I think he was just there to make a guest appearance on stage with Kenny I don't think he was there with the intention of hanging out and drinking with the college crowd. Still I don't think the timing could have been any worse to make an appearance at a bar much less one on the stirp regardless of the intentions. |
