I'd have to pick 3. Alabama, LSU and Georgia.

That's for sure. LSU is just as bad as the others. I'll put them at #4.

Took my 11 year old to the SEC Championship Game in '02 (got free tickets) and got harrassed for donning our AU colors. Some college kids called us Auburn pussies and told me I needed to take my little kitty and go home it would make more room for the big dogs. Bad mistake! With a security guard watchin, he heard what was said and just waited to see how things turned out, I walked strait over to the guy who was a head taller than me and put my nose as close to his doggy breath as I could. In no uncertain terms I told him and his buddies where to go and how to get there. I made a special point of tellin him to never tell me where I can take my youngin. He started apologizing and I told him I didn't wanna hear it and his friends started backing away. The security guy walked over and asked if everything was okay? I told him to ask "UGA". The security man told the UGA he heard what was said to me about my kid and had he said it to him he'd been in for an a$$ whippin. lol The guard was really a decent guy and told me he hated jerks like those guys. He went to the concession stand and got my son a free coke and told him to enjoy the game and hoped he had a good time. He also laughed and told me he was glad he didn't have to take me jail. The ironic part is my Moma is from a small town about 15 miles from Athens and all my relatives there are big UGA fans and a couple donate $$ to UGA. I was actually rooting for the dawgs cause of my family but those jerks reconfirmed what I already knew, there's only one team I can root for, Auburn! WDE |

The worst fans from a Yankee's perspective
|
The worst fan in the SEC from a Yankee's perspective has to be Florida. I grew up in California and when I was at Auburn I was always amazed with how well behaved the fans from other SEC schools were when I went to away games. No matter how drunk or obnoxious I would act, I never got worried about getting my ass kicked. I even felt safe around Bama fans! However, the two times I went to UF were the exception. There is nothing Southern about Florida except its geographic location. Just a bunch of New Yorker's who moved south and other white trash. They reminded me of lots of people from California. The Southern charm I felt and witnessed from other fans is something that I always will cherish! |

Depends on your meaning of 'worst'

After living in Birmingham, Baton Rouge and Atlanta, and a lot of home games for AU, Bammer, LSU and UGA, I would have to say the largest number of extremely
rude, obnoxious and even violent fans I encountered were in Baton Rouge. There were plenty of well behaved gracious types there too but there are large
number of damn-near insane fans at LSU home games. I was actually at the 'earthquake' game at LSU and several others.
However, if you remember the flood game in Knoxville when we had Bo Jackson and Brent Fulwood, Johnny Majors had dammed up the drainage system to Neyland Stadium so the field would be flooded and hopefully slow down AU's running game. Well UT won that game by the skin of their teeth. During the game UT Fans were throwing a hailstorm of whiskey bottles at AU players on the sidelines so they had to wear their helmets for safety. After the game, UT fans were nearly rioting. They were turning over cars in street in downtown Knoxville if the cars had Auburn stickers or Alabama plates. Something like that would never happen at Auburn. Bammer fans are the most delusional and they have always had this inappropriate condescending attitude, looking down on their opponents, especially Auburn MSU and UT while at the same time talking about their 'class' and 'tradition'. As a whole, bammers seem to be hypocritical in this way. It is not just pride, I don't a problem with pride. It is that attitude of disdain and disrespect for anyone who is not a bammer. UGA fans are somewhat like Bammer fans but less condescending and a little meaner during game day. They can be very rude to opposing fans. They have a very nasty student section too.

My thing about Lsu is that they are not just rude, but they are arrogant, classless, destructive, insane, and worst of all drunks. Its one thing to yell
absentities and such, but I saw one LSU fan take a shaker from a kid and whip him with it. The parent flew off the handle as to be expected, but that is what
I'm talking about. We're not just talking about the fans we dislike, we are talking about the WORST fans in the SEC. Throwing bricks through
windows, almost hitting you with a sign that had been ripped from the ground, and spitting on people. These are the type of people we are dealing with. It is
a disgrace to even call them a part of the SEC, and I'm sure that IronTig is a great guy, but the large majority of their fans are sleaze.
I have never been so disrespected in my life, and if I hadn't promised my wife I wouldn't do anything I would have been in the hospital or jail!
Everyone has these types of fans, but I have never seen the majority of people be that way. Florida fans are a second IMO. "Believe me on this. Please. I have descended into college football's Grand Canyon. I have stood in its Alps. I have gazed at
its ocean sunset. I have attended a game at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala. And I've been changed forever".

I voted for Florida. That's the only place I've actually gotten into a fight. When they start physically pushing a woman wearing an AU shirt, the $hit
hits the (Florida) fan.

I was at the Auburn Bama pay per view telecast at Bama when we were on probation and I went with two of my friends who were Bama fans. Everything went ok in
the first half because we were getting beat. We scored trhe saftey in the first half I stood up and was cheering and the same people that I thought were just
playing around and we were just ragging on each other turned very different. They started screaming all kinds of stuff at me. I had people coming up to me and
telling me it will be ok yall won them all to this point but you can't beat us. I took it all in stride and just kept saying we are a second half team just
wait. Well by the time it was over they were throwing beer and whiskey, cokes, bottles you name it at me and other Auburn fans. My bama buddies started helping
me out and the bammers turned on them and was screaming that they were not true bammers if they was they wouldn't be with a Auburn fan so they were
throwing the same stuff at them too. One lady actually poured About half of a bottle of JIM BEAM on me. PINT SIZE. I was so pissed but i couldn't do
anything to her since she was a women. We were escorted out for our saftey. How pathetic is that.
