Ive been reading yalls forum for a while now, and I wanted to start posting. I'm from Nashville, TN and my mom went to Vanderbilt, my dad worked at
Vanderbilt, and my sister is a senior at Vanderbilt. However, I've always liked Auburn so thats one of the places I decided to apply to. Last Friday, I
went down to Auburn and immediately knew that it was where I was meant to be. So the first thing I did when I got home was sent in my deposit and money. So, I
am gonna be going to Auburn in fall!!!

I'm 39 year old Auburn guy who still considers Auburn as his hometown. I graduated from Auburn High School and attended Auburn for a couple of years
before I had to put my college life on hold. I'm now back into it at another university while living in Marietta, GA, though I would prefer to be back at
Auburn to finish my Mechanical Engineering degree. That's the way the ball bounces sometimes. I believe Auburn to be the best university around, which
includes the academics and the people defined as the "Auburn Nation".

Been reading and posting here for a while, but I thought I would officially say "hey, y'all"...
I'm 30, and I was born and raised in an Auburn family (Mom and Dad, aunts, uncles, and cousins were all grads). Like others, I consider Auburn to be my adopted hometown (still try to get my hair cut at the Campus Barbershop when I'm in town). I attended from '96-'01, graduating with a BS in Operations Management. I also met my wife (also a grad) of almost 7 years there. I spent 6 years as an active duty Acquisitions Officer with the USAF after graduation. I separated from the Air Force in '07 and am now a program manager for a manufacturer of ruggedized electronics (primarily defense and commercial aviation applications). I found the forum through EllenDLT, whom I had the pleasure of working with before she moved to greener pastures. I love the forum despite the persistent negativism and the turn-on-a-dime loyalty towards the football staff. In my spare time, I enjoy my Bible studies, spending time with my wife and 3-yr old daughter, and fueling my passion for all things car-related.
