It wasn't a great pass, but Rod Smith made a he!! of a reception.

He would be rated a lot higher if he had one of those wild names mentioned on another thread like
Aromashodu or Obamanu.

Smith is a great receiver but he doesn't have the blazing speed that others have. He is very much a go to guy but, in my opinion, not the game breaker that
others will be. He will catch a lot of passes. The QB will be Burns. Can he hit open receivers? His td pass in the bowl game was a frozen rope to a guy in
traffic. That told me a lot.

Burns lack of progression

Was due to having a lazy QB coach. Cox didn't progress when he had only Borges as a QB coach. When Emsminger was co-QB coach with fat AL, we saw
improvement in Cox. When Borges took over on his own, the improvement stopped. When Franklin worked with Cox an Burns, both improved for the bowl game.
Coincidence? I think not.

Franklin said he let Cox be Cox. Since it was his last game.

QB situation for next year

In the end, I think it wil lbe a two way battle between Kodi and Todd. All though, Caudle, DeRon and Barrett will have a lot to say about who wins the starting
post.
