Think KGB here, never give up a source of what could be more valuable intel. Just strike up a conversation with your daughter, and in a round about way let her know you've heard some bad rumors, and how she needs to be careful around certain people. This opens new lines of communication with her, and may make her a little paranoid, but it will serve it's purpose. As for the guys, psycho Grad, may only serve to pique your daughters curiosity, just make sure she knows you've heard really bad things about them, and you expect her to use good judgement and avoid them. TPT (veteran of 1 daughter, raising a son and a daughter now.)

While a teenager, casual sex was not an issue.... #2 - My daughter has developmental issues, she is mentally ~ 13 - 15. #3 - Some of these 'boys' are beyond HS.... they are taking advantage of the situation.. I also have a daughter who is 24 now. I KNEW she could handle situations so I did not react this way when I knew her and her boyfriends may or may not be having sex. SHE was aware of the potential 'side effects'... However, daughter #2 is not able to think this thru. She thinks like a much younger girl. Therefore, I am justified in this thinking...... Which, is actually true... there are tools out there that will allow me to do all that.... Good thing I am knowledgeable about computers... Then I asked him if he wants to go through life with sexual predator complaint on his workplace HR record or a sexual predator conviction in his criminal background. Then I told him this is a zero tolerence situation, even the smallest hint of contact and I would follow through without hesitation. He stopped all contact and she never heard from him again.

I had an instance where a couple of older boys (16 or 17) were constantly calling and asking my 15 year old daughter to come over to their house. After telling her not to take their calls and letting them message her, I took the phone and went to see daddy. I showed him the messages and said that this was the boys' warning. The next call would be to the police and I would have them prosecuted to the extent of the law. I told him also that if this was twenty five years ago, I wouldn't have bothered talking to him at all. He is a little older than I so he got the picture. Anyway, we got a formal apology and not another peep since. I later found out that he handled the situation in a way which earned my respect. I don't think most parents want to be embarrassed by their kids in this manner , so you might consider getting them involved. Just food for thought.
