We're all accustomed to it, not saying it's a good thing but we are. How does everyone feel about the ones who say "we should support both teams
from our state" or that we shouldn't hate each other like we do? Personally, and even though I'm 23, I'm part of the old school hatred crowd.
You won't see me with that tag on my car that has both teams' logos, and I love nothing more than living here in Illinois and seeing someone with a big
A on their crimson hats and laughing at them to their face before walking away while they stand there with tears in their eyes.

I hate bammer athletics, but I don't really hate the bammers themselves like a lot of auburn fans. My mom, dad, grandparents, cousins, etc. are all
bammers, so it makes it a little tough for me to outright hate them. However, they sure can get annoying sometimes.

Yeah I hate Bama the school, but most of the students are fine. Its all of the hicks that don't go there and all the ghetto people also that support Bama
that I don't like. They're the ones that talk the trash and get in the fights the most. Of course there are a handful of losers at both schools (namely
frat dudes, again not all, but most) that cause problems and are insults to both schools. I like having a friendly rivalry with trash talking from both
sides...just none of the "Im gonna kill you" trash talking that often goes on.
Quick story: on spring break there was a hot Bama girl (from what I saw Bama girls are a lot more trashy than Auburn girls in general too) yelling "Roll Tide!" Of course I yelled War Eagle back and she ran up on me trying to fight me...she was drunk, but running up on a 6'3" 215lb dude for a girl to do was weird to me. She began yelling we got 12, we got 12! I was trying to explain that that was B.S. and by Bama thinking we would have 8. That really made her mad and she tried to start punching/slapping me but her friends held her back. I was laughing the entire time. It was pretty funny. |

Both schools have plenty of embarrassing fans. Too many have never stepped foot on campus. Due to Aubies current success they have a lot off bandwagon folks.
I know several real Auburn fans, I know a lot of real UA fans. Also have run across a bunch of goobers, both urnge and Crimson.
I have a guy working for me, claims to be a huge Auburn fan, talks about 6 all the time. He would need to get on a Greyhound bus to find the place. He is a clean up guy and left school in Childersburg after the 9th grade. Also likes to wear his Aubie hat sideways with pants off his ass when not at work. It works both ways. |
