I didn't agree that we are way down at 8th but I absolutely loved it when they said "the most famous game was the 1972 game" War Eagle baby, PUNT

I will admit that when it came to big time college football as far as the eyes of the nation viewed the state of Alabama, The Tuskalooser Criminal Tide was the
so called premier college football team. I will alos admit that under da bahr, bammers had a great tradishun of winning. My, my, how the mighty have fallen.
Auburn has great tradition also and have had good years and bad, but how the " tide " has changed. Auburn is the team for the 21 century and
hasn't lost to them bammers for a very, very long time. Maybe that is why the rest of the country does not view it as big a rivalry as it used to. Auburn
owns bama on the gridiron, and will continue to do so from now on. Will Alabama ever beat Auburn again ? Yes, they will, but not very often. I really don't
care if bammers call Auburn the stepchild. The stepchild seems to beat the old grizzled man's ( Alabama ) a$$ year after year after year after year and so
on and so on. It really is GREAT TO BE AN AUBURN TIGER.

That "punt bama punt" is classic. I was in diapers back then so I don't remember it too well. I have the fondest memories of the " sack
Brodie " game. He seemed to spend more time on his back than standing up that day. I wish Howard Cosell would have still been alive and called the game
because it would have been " down goes brodie, down goes brodie ! " ( Ali vs. Frasier reference )
