Tyler Stovall of Hokes Bluff High School (5 time defending state champs) opened the season by throwing a perfect game against Arab High School. The Eagles
swept a doubleheader 13-0, and 4-0. If this kid isn't among the top 20 picks in this years draft, he will be pitching for the Tigers next year. This is one
of the best baseball players I have ever seen. WDE

That kind of sucks, in a way. By throwing a perfect game in his first start of the season, he has nowhere else to go but down.
What is Hokes Bluff's high school like? My reason for asking is that I am trying to determine if they produce kids that value a college education. If he keeps this up and has a good season, he'll likely be ranked high in the draft. If this is the case, hopefully he turns down the money and plays at least a few years of college ball before he decides to move on. |

This is a great school. Will be 4A next year. As for Tyler, he will be the salutatorian for his class, and is the son of a former Auburn football player. My
youngest 2 children go to "the Bluff" and love it. I've known Tyler since he was 8 and this was just his 2nd perfect game since he's been
playing. He is a truly great kid, and it would take over the million mark in bonus money to get him to skip college. It is possible he might get that kind of
offer, and if he did I would certainly take it. He already has the state record for K's in a season, and wins in a season. Most of us here are just as
proud as we can be of him. My son even thought about playing baseball again just to say he got to play on the same team. I know, I seem too prideful, but when
it's an Auburn signee, you have to be happy about it. WDE
