I'll hold my breath until we show something when it comes to SEC play. Hopefully we'll do well in our out-of-conference schedule and keep that trend going when we enter SEC play. That is when you will see whether or not Slater's coaching will improve or remain at the same level it has been.
Historically, he has done well until he enters conference play - and this goes all the way back to his coaching days at VMI. |

And yet our signee class ranked 5th best and only 4 of 13 signees are in this depth chart.

until he enters conference play - this is the part thats bothering me.... Hey, D...remember last year when we sat in the freezing cold watching them for freaking TWELVE innings only to lose.... 
At least we heckeled the plate umpire unmercifully....

Deej, I do remember that game. We froze and they lost to Lipscomb, of all teams. We were not happy Tigers after that one. I am looking forward to this season
and catching some games with you again. Umpires will be berated unmercifully and hotties will be stared at, of course. Let's just hope we won't have to
endure sitting through a 12 inning loss in 30 degree weather!
About conference play, if you will look at Slater's record as a coach, you will see he does well until the conference games start. Hopefully he can reverse that trend this year. |
