- Phil Gramm's statement calling us a nation of whiners - A nation of whiners - We are losing jobs right and left. Companies are closing. Prices on necessities such as gasoline, heating fuel, electricity, milk, bread are going through the roof, and foreclosures are at an all-time high. Now, I grant that some of these foreclosures are from people over extending themselves, but many are victims of short-sighted corporations keep trying to maximize 'profits' in order to keep share holders happy. My question is will the shareholders still be happy when no one is able to buy their products.
- The second sign of political dementia is the movement to label birth control pills and IUD devices as forms of abortion, restricting hospitals and other
organizations that receive federal funds from dispensing them to the poor, or even advising these women of their availability. Now, I know the Cathlic
church's stand on this, but I know of no protestant, penticostal (maybe a few fringe holiness groups), or evangelical group that would make a claim like
this. This isn't just stupid, it's the ravings of a lunitic!!!
