Bale was very solid as Batman (again); believable and human, and Gary Oldman put on a good performance as well playing Lt. Gordon. Aaron Eckhart's character, the new DA in town, added a new and unexpected aspect to the movie, and Eckhart executed the role beautifully (at least much better than his predecessor). But of course, it was the Joker who stole the show.
Now I've never been a real Heath Ledger fan, and I know a lot of extra hype was generated about this movie and his character because of his death. But all that aside, Ledger turned in a truly fantastic performance. The Joker honestly made the movie. His character was intensely believable, and it added so much to the movie around him. Ledger made the Joker seem so frighteningly real, that you honestly did not know what he was going to do next-because Ledger has you believing that he might just be crazy enough to do it.
It all comes together to be the best movie I've seen all year. I was sucked right into the story, and the action and characters held me in. It's just this tiger's humble opinion, but this is a must see! Love to hear y'all's thoughts when you've seen it. War Damn Batman!
