Petrino will be hard served to compare to what Nutt did the past few years...
|
Won the SEC west in 2006 and had a competitive team in 2007. Dark days ahead for Arkansas who plays way too many politics. They could finish last in the west
as their old coach Houston Nutt has a dang good football team in Mississippi. Remember Cordera Eason and Enrique Davis? 2 guys Auburn really wanted at the TB
spot. Jevon Snead at QB who has a pro arm. Really good recievers and a NFl caliber Left tackle in Oher. They will be dangerous my friends.

You hit the nail on the head with that post. Ole Miss has some good talent down there. Additionally, Miss St.is on the rise, and LSU isn't about to drop
down to nowhere.
If Petrino wants to keep Arkansas out of the SEC West cellar he better send out that message like Princess Leia did. "Help me Alabama you're my only hope." |

I agree... | ||

still not sold on Mississippi State. They have a defense that will keep them in every game but their offense is offensive. I watched their spring game and
their offense was horrible. I know they beat Auburn last season but they caught us at the right time. This year they will get wore down by our tempo and their
lack of quality depth will show on defense. They do have the kind of offense it takes to beat the spread attack. I just think our defense is going to be good
enough to hold them to 5 or 6 3 and outs which gives Auburn 20-30 more snaps potentially. I really hope Snead is a bust for Ole Miss cause if he is not Auburn
will find a road game at Oxford very tough next season. Ole Miss defense was built up by Orgeron and Hardy is a monster. Again depth doesnt favor the
Mississippi school. I can't wait till football season.

Nutt is a better coach than ORgeron but not by much. He is a used car salesman for the most part and a throw back who likes to run the ball. Idont see OM
having the other offensive lineman to run that well yet. Snead is still unproven and NUtt had a couple of bad seasons at Arky not to long ago. I dont see him
approaching Cutcliffe's numbers are Tubbs at Ole Miss.

tailback? Who do you think it will be? Cordera Eason or Enrique Davis? Davis is Nutt's recruit. Many times the new coach comes in and the older guys
don't always get the fair shot.

I see what you are saying Vet but Orgeron could recruit and Nutt has shown that with talent...

he can win more than he loses. IMO Ole Miss wasnt the worst team in the SEC last season (talent wise) they just lacked the cordination on both sides of the
ball to be effective. They played us very well every year Orgeron was there. I would put Ole Miss ahead of MSU right now since its only May. Snead hasn't
played a down yet so like you said I will take a wait and see approach. In their spring game he was pretty impressive especially on a TD throw late in the
game. He has a pro arm. They will lose due to depth. If Snead or Eason go down they will be lost. I hope Enrique Davis gets the Emmit Smith treatment when
Auburn plays them. (Never has 100 yards vs Auburn) JMO

Petrino & Coonass | ||

When the water starts getting hot, he'll head out the back door cause he's good at that. petrino and coonass are from the same class. Low. Ask Atlanta
and Miami.

I wouldn't under estimate Petrino. Remember South Florida and Miss State last year? They beat us in our own backyard and should not have even matched up
well with us. Lets not get too arrogant about our team just yet. I think Petrino found out real quick he did not like the NFL enviroment. He had an opporunity
to go back to coaching in college and in the SEC and jumped at the chance. How many of us thought the grass was greener on the other side and when we changed
jobs realized, OMG big mistake. lol He did a great job at Louisville and he also knows SEC football. The question is, does he have the talent in Little Rock
to compete this year?
