I read where one of the reasons the BCS declined going to a plus one was because they didn't want football being a two semester sport. Duh!!! Drop one
game off the schedules and don't give teams a month off before the bowls start. Play the bowl games and the four team playoff in December and play the
title game on Jan 1st or 2nd. Done deal!! Easier said than done I am sure . lol

Talking about them not wanting two SEC teams playing for the title. They sure in the heck were lobbying for a rematch of Michigan and Ohio State playing for
the title. And the Big 10 Commissioner had no problem with that. I still think it's funny a 2 loss SEC team ran Ohio State off the field for the second
straight year!!! Goooo SEC!!!!!!!

Nothing is going to change until at least the year 2014. The only two conferences pushing for the plus one concept were the ACC and of course the SEC. The BCS
stated that the current system in place is the best for now. The SEC commisioner was pi$$ed off because no other conference would back any kind of playoff
plan. The real reason I think they don't want it is because if you take the top 4 teams where 1 plays 3 and 2 plays 4, the winners might end up being from
the same conference. (...

8 team playoff. You take the 6 bcs conference champions and top 2 non-bcs conference champions/Notre Dame. And the Irish would go for it because they would
not have to be 12th to get in. And you would not have to do seeding. The bowls would still have tie ins so the Rose would be happy. Then you take the 4 bcs
bowl winners and do a four team playoff.

A playoff could be worked out and would make more money and benefit all BUT the BCS conferences would have to relinquish some power , money, control and
prestige in their PERCEPTION. I acutally think the money would be greater in a playoff but it would be spread out more as well and also some bowl realignment
would have to happen. IT will never happen as the BCS and the Rose Bowl contract dates run differently so there is a built in excuse to not do it as you would
have to break the contract...

Without a playoff, there never has been, and never will be, a CHAMPION. Unless there is only 1 undefeated team in the nation. Hearing teams with one loss, or
two, claim to be champions is moronic. A champion either wins all of it's games, or wins a playoff, to me there is no other way, it's just a beauty
pageant.
